When you’re ready to explore all of the options available in orthodontics and aesthetic dentistry, Kharsa Ortho-Dent is a great place to start. Dr. Al-Kharsa and his team are leaders in the dental community, and that means there’s no better place to get the answers you need to provide every member of your family with a healthy, beautiful smile.

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that children have their first orthodontic appointment around the age of 7. Children between 7 and 9 are at the right stage of development for us to determine whether treatment would be recommended and to deal with any issues in the least invasive way. However, no matter your age, we have options that can be custom fit not only to your teeth – but to your life, school and work.

Between the ages of 11 and 15 is the most common time for orthodontic treatment, and for good reason. By 12, most, if not all, of the permanent teeth are in place, and crooked teeth, gaps and bad bites are easy to identify. We can often take advantage of the remaining growth years to make the necessary orthodontic corrections and create an exceptional smile for your child.

Braces For Adults

It’s never too late to enhance your smile. More and more adults today are seeking orthodontic treatment to improve their smile because the options are so much more esthetic and comfortable than they used to be. About 25 percent of our patients are adults who have discovered that orthodontic treatment not only improves their appearance but improves overall health. By seeking orthodontic treatment as an adult you can possibly avoid severe tooth decay, gum and bone loss, and irregular wear of the tooth enamel, all of which can be very painful and costly. Plus, today’s options also shorten your treatment time significantly. Whether you choose metal or clear braces, hidden braces or clear aligners, at Kharsa Ortho-Dent, your treatment can be tailored to fit your lifestyle.
